Cosatto Giggle 3 – Pram and Pushchair

Cosatto Giggle 3 – The Classic Pram and Pushchair: Reinvented

To be perfectly honest I didn’t have a clue as to where to start when looking for a pushchair for my soon to be arrival. I didn’t have any friends to ask advice from and it’s something that I guess is a personal taste and the models are updated and adapted quite regularly. So I entered a local pram shop, the first thing that hit me was the cost of them – you literally could buy a new small car for the price some of them were. Taking the soon to be grandparents with me, this was pointed out by my dad in the shop! Therefore I decided to look pragmatically and this basically meant for the cheapest, and in hindsight this worked out well for me and I am happy with the Cosatto but will list for you the pros of this model and the slight niggles.

So….the Cosatto Giggle 3 is a classic 3 in 1 pram and pushchair, that just keeps on reinventing itself. I keep finding new things that it does the more my little girl grows. Cosatto are famous for their gold-winning features and smooth handling. Giggle 3 offers a solution that you can use from birth and beyond, which was something that was important to me.

I actually purchased the Giggle 3 travel system bundle which has it all in one altogether, so we got the chassis, carry cot and pushchair seat unit. Including a co-ordinating 0+ baby car seat (rear facing for babies from newborn to 13kg / 15 months), adaptors, bag and foot muff. Sold as easy to move your baby from their car seat into the pushchair for a walk with the easy adapters – I think to date we have managed this once!

The pushchair suits both me and my partner:

Pros –

  • Perfect height for me (5ft2) and my partner (6ft) – handle adjusts to make it suitable to what position you wish
  • Easy to interchange between cot, pushchair and car seat.
  • Easy to collapse base
  • Lovely unique design
  • Handles well
  • Comes with a 4 year guarantee

Niggles –

  • If you forget the adapters to interchange the different units, you can’t go for your planned walk. Happened once to me and won’t happen again!
  • Quite large for the boot of my car but then again I think most boots are never big enough for any pram.
  • Brake is under the basket so when my partner is striding out he has been known to catch it and come to an abrupt stop

The Giggle 3 has profile tyres and a premium suspension for an ultra-smooth effortless glide. Their deep tread means they can handle multi-terrain – not quite going off road on a very bumpy track though. The carry cot has a supportive mattress which means your little one can use this as an over night cot if required, making it perfect for the occasional overnight sleeping. I was sceptical at first however I must admit we did use this as an option a few times and it worked well for us. The liner zips in and out which means it is machine washable. The basket at the bottom fits what it fits, probably not the most helpful review however it gives you the room to put some shopping items in it as well as the rain cover but you can’t fit much else but this was never a problem for me. Everything we needed went in the nappy bag.

It’s worth checking out the Cosatto website to look at their stringent safety tests, there is a full You Tube video which covers all these points thoroughly. For us it’s been the perfect choice.
